Radon Mitigation Ottawa613 555-0102

Post-mitigation retest

A short check after install and a long-term test the next heating season to confirm the result.

A short test a day or two after the fan is running confirms the system is doing its job. Health Canada recommends a long-term three-month test the following fall or winter to confirm the annual average is below 200 Bq/m³, ideally by someone independent of the installer.

We can set up that test, or tell you how to do it yourself with a lab kit.

Retest every few years and after major renovations, such as finishing a basement or replacing the furnace.

Got a test result over 200 Bq/m³? Call or send it over and get a quote within one business day.
